About Beaver Dam
The city of Beaver Dam is located in Dodge County and sports a population of around 16,500 residents as of 2016. The city is situated long the western coastline of Beaver Dam Lake, which provides great views from the city.
Beaver Dam has tons of events that go on throughout the year. The Dodge County Fair takes place every August in Beaver Dam and showcases a variety of events and entertainment, like livestock judging and live music. The Midwest Cream Cheese Competition came to life as Beaver Dam is the location of one of only 2 Kraft Philadelphia Cream Cheese processing plants in the nation. This sparked the locals to set up a competition to see who can create the greatest cream cheese dish in the area. The Holiday Parade takes place every December and allows local businesses, organizations, churches, and individuals the chance to create elegant floats and show off their holiday cheer.
There’s tons to do outside of scheduled events also. The Beaver Dam Raceway is a dirt track that hosts races across the entire summer. It is also the home of the annual World of Outlaws Sprint races.
